Gate City aims to keep Lee High winless

  Lee High beating Gate City on the football field is something that hasjust not came easy. The Generals have defeated the Blue Devils just one time in the last 15 years. That victory came in 2017 at Legion Field in Gate City, a 35-0 tail whipping of the Blue Devils. Lee High (0-6, 0-2) is still looking for their first win of the season, while Gate City (2-5, 0-3) is battling for playoff seeding and looking for their first Mountain 7 victory of the year.… Read the rest

Generals surrender to Wolfpack on the Ridge

It was a happy Homecoming 2019 on the Ridge Friday night for the homestanding Ridgeview Wolfpack.  Ridgeview dominated on both sides of the game Friday night with a 55-6 drubbing of the Lee High Generals. Trenton Adkins came into the contest as the player to watch and early on it appeared that Adkins would continue his dominance against hapless defenses.  Adkins first carry went for 80 yards and a touchdown at the 7:39 mark of the first quarter. … Read the rest

Falcons claim Mountain 7 title with win over Lee

It was another rain soaked field for the second week in a row.  It was senior night and these seniors wouldn’t have it any other way.  The Lee High Generals were in town for a showdown with the Falcons who were riding high after knocking off district foes Ridgeview and Union in back-to-back weeks. Jenkins helps Bears blow by Lee High

It was a sluggish start for the Union Bears in their first home game after a three game road trip. The visiting Lee High Generals dominated the time of possession and had double the offensive snaps in the opening stanza. But senior running back Avery Jenkins changed all of that in an instant. The track star scored three second quarter touchdowns that gave the Bears a big lead going into the break and allowed Union to cruise to a 42-7 conference victory.… Read the rest

Wolfpack maul Generals, 49-7

Heading into Friday night’s Mountain 7 District clash with the Lee High Generals, most folks wondered if the Wolfpack would have a letdown after  defeating the Union Bears the week before. 48 minutes later, the Wolfpack delivered an emphatic answer with a 49-7 thrashing of the Generals in Ben Hur.
