Wolfpack maul Wildcats 63-32

In the season opening win against the J. I. Burton Raiders, Ridgeview running back Trenton Adkins scored 5 TD’s. Adkins would do one better in game two, scoring six times and racking up another 295 yards on the ground.  The Ridgeview Wolfpack defeated Shelby Valley from the Bluegrass State 63-32 in convincing fashion on Friday night. Wolfpack, Wildcats Set to Meet for Third Time on Gridiron

Wolfpack open season with win over Raiders, Adkins scores 5 TD’s

Lawson-Fitchko Stadium in downtown Norton was the site of Southwest Virginia’s opening football contest of 2019.  The venerable stadium was also the host of one of Southwest Virginia’s finest single performances in recent memory.  Trenton Adkins of the Ridgeview Wolfpack rushed for 357 yards and 5 TD’s on the night in a 40-13 convincing victory over the John I. Wolfpack look to continue upward trend in 2019

  In the short four year history of the Ridgeview Wolfpack football program, there have been some ups and some downs.  The 2018 season would classify as a trend in the upward direction.  Ridgeview had its most successful season to date, finishing with a 10-2 record and runner up in the highly competitive Mountain 7 District for the second straight season. The Wolfpack earned the top seed in the Class 2, Region D playoffs and won their first ever playoff game before falling to Richlands in the Region D semifinals. … Read the rest

Ridgeview Lady Wolfpack look to return to the top of the Mountain

Richlands shocks Ridgeview, advances to region title game

It was quite the afternoon on Saturday on Rose Ridge. Richlands traveled to Ridgeview for what was one of the most-anticipated matchups in southwest Virginia and came out on top with a 31-21 victory over the first seeded Wolfpack. It looked like it would be a bad start, after a muffed kickoff forced Richlands to start the game on their own 2-yard line. A resurgent Richlands (8-4) offense proved they were game, going 98 yards down the field for a 1-yard Trey Brown touchdown run, keyed by a long 53-yard pass from Race Moir to Taylor Horn.… Read the rest
