The West Virginia State Champion Bluefield Beavers beat a young Tazewell team that night at Mitchell stadium to a final score of 62-27. Bulldogs set to host Raiders in interstate battle

Saturday morning, one team will have that win and for the other the search will still be on. In the 2017 matchup, Tazewell QB Jamir Blevins threw for 273 yards and 5 TDs to lead the Bulldogs out of Bradshaw with a 40-26 win. The then-River View senior running back Bradley Mullins ran hard for 94 yards and 2 TDs in a courageous effort for the Raiders.… Read the rest

Bulldogs, G-Men set for district matchup

Much like 2017, the 2018 season has started similar for both Graham and Tazewell, with both falling in week one. Graham lost to arch rival Bluefield (38-14), while Tazewell fell short against Virginia High (37-30) in week one. Last season saw the Graham G-Men came out of the gate on all cylinders to lead the Bulldogs at the half 46-0, before finally winning a final tally of 52-8.… Read the rest

Fighting Like Cats and Dogs: Virginia High/Tazewell Preview

  The Tazewell Bulldogs will host the Virginia High Bearcats on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium, officially kicking off the high school football season in southwest Virginia. In last year’s season opener, the Bulldog’s youthfulness was on full display. The Bearcats scored on their opening possession and never looked back, coming away with a 35-0 win. Pre-Season Glance: Tazewell High School Football

Tazewell, VA. – After Coach J’me Harris football team went 3-7 last season, the Bulldogs didn’t wait long to get back to work. “We took the VHSL required dead period when basketball started,” said head coach J’Me Harris. “We started lifting as soon as the dead period ended.” Working hard and getting better everyday is a motto that the young Bulldogs are trying to live by.
