Alijah Sproles of Ridgeview had a game to remember against the Grundy Golden Wave in week one. The junior linebacker had six tackles, five for a loss, and one sack in Ridgeview’s opening week win.
The outstanding performance did not go without notice as Sproles was voted the inaugural CoalfieldSports.com Defensive Player of the Week.
Sproles has the expression. “Give everything, earn everything,” written on his cleats, an expression not lost with his performance on field performance. …

One of the questions heading into the 2018 season opener for the Ridgeview Wolfpack was if a passing attack would compliment their excellent ground game.
The answer after Friday night would be yes! The Wolfpack were able to go to the air effectively as well as the ground to dispatch the Grundy Golden Wave to kick off the 2018 season.
McKenzie Sproles started at quarterback for the Wolfpack. However, Tyler O’Quinn took over in the second quarter and was the signal caller for the majority of the contest.…

With a bevy of benefit games on the docket this week, perhaps the most anticipated of those will occur Friday night on Rose Ridge. The marquee features the defending 1A state runner up, Chilhowie Warriors and the Ridgeview Wolfpack.
The Wolfpack received much attention in the preseason with a two-headed monster in the backfield with sophomore Trenton Adkins and senior Matthew Sexton.…
