Musings from jamboree at Ernie

There was a familiar scene at Ernie Hicks Stadium in Richlands on Friday night. Pads were popping, fans were cheering, you could smell the Lions Club concession stand. Ridgeview vs. Lebanon Scrimmage — News and Notes

A good crowd was on hand for Friday’s scrimmage Heading into the 2018 Ridgeview Wolfpack football season, all the talk centered around sophomore sensation running back Trenton Adkins. However, it was another running back whose star shone the brightest during the Wolfpack’s scrimmage with the Lebanon Pioneers on Rose Ridge Friday evening. Senior Matthew Sexton, a transfer from Eastside, ran through, around and over the hapless Pioneers on his way to a 60 yard touchdown during the untimed portion of the scrimmage. … Read the rest

Spotlight: Bears QB Bailey Turner

  The 2017 season proved a rousing success for the Union High School football team. The Bears won 13 games, which included triumphs over rivals Richlands, Ridgeview and a Region D championship win over Graham. However, for one Bear, 2017 was bittersweet. Quarterback Bailey Turner, entering into his third year as a starter and in 2017, was expected to be the driving force for the Union offense.
