Twin Valley, East Ridge, KY, set for Thursday night football

After a record-breaking performance last Friday night, the Twin Valley Panthers are happy to be back in Oakwood tonight. Much to the dismay of the Panthers, they were on the wrong end of a record-breaking performance. In last week’s 50-16 loss to Grundy, the Panthers allowed Golden Wave tailback Gabe Fiser rush for 368 yards and six touchdowns. At the end of the day, the Wave outmanned the Panthers. Panthers, Golden Wave set for Buchanan County clash

  @ The epicenter for the largest upset in the Commonwealth of Virginia was in Oakwood last Friday night. The Twin Valley Panthers sat at 3-1 and were ready to play host to a Craig County Rockets team that had lost 30 consecutive football games. In a Battle of the Panthers, the storyline coming away from Oakwood was about a bearded tailback from Twin Valley. Folks on the other side of the Dismal River thought a coal truck was putting in an extra shift ahead of Hurricane Florence. However, the only rumbling in Buchanan County last Thursday was Twin Valley tailback Brandon Lester. Tornado travels 151 miles for battle with Terriers

Tonight, the Richlands Blue Tornado (1-2) look to end their two game losing skid as they travel to Vinton to take on the undefeated William Byrd Terriers (4-0) at Robert A. Patterson Stadium. The Blues are coming off a 49-17 loss at the hands of the Blacksburg Bruins last week. Due to Hurricane Florence threatening, the game was moved up to Thursday and even had a change of venue. Rebels, Generals set for war in West Virginia

Panthers, Rockets set for take off Friday in Oakwood

Was that Brandon Lester or a coal truck barreling through Oakwood last Thursday? If you ask Chris Duble and the Northwood Panthers, they would vouch that Lester and coal truck are synonyms. In a 52-30 Twin Valley victory, Lester could not have performed at a higher level. The senior tailback scored 38 of Twin Valley’s 52 points a week ago.
