Rebels travel to Northwood, look to finish 10-0

*Photo Credit: SWVA Photography Patrick Henry (9-0) at Northwood (1-8) Thursday night’s Hogoheegee District matchup features two teams who have had entirely different seasons. The Northwood Panthers are set to pack things up after tonight in what has been a woeful first season for Tim Johnson in Saltville. The Panthers lone win came in a 18-0 shutout over Twin Valley back on September 20. The Panthers have lost six consecutive games since in a season where they are being outscore by opponents 322-77.… Read the rest

Hubbard, Honaker face big test vs. Patrick Henry

Honaker (4-3) at Patrick Henry (7-0)  Doug Hubbard and his squad are riding high after a big 36-30 win last Friday in a two overtime game against Hurley. The win clinched Honaker’s first Black Diamond District championship since 2015 and its 12th in school history.  The Tigers were led by star running back Trevor Dye who racked up 100 yards and three touchdowns on the turf at Fuller Field last Friday.… Read the rest

Patrick Henry looks to stay unbeated vs. John Battle

For the 60th time in this storied rivalry, the John Battle Trojans will take on  their Washington County foes — the Patrick Henry Rebels. Just a short few weeks ago this was looked to be a very intriguing matchup between two teams with high aspirations. However, John Battle has since had some major setbacks. On top of the disappointing 1-3 record, the Trojans have been dismantled by injuries. Patrick Henry Visits The Cliff In a Clash of the Rebels

Patrick Henry (2-0) at Hurley (2-0)   The Battle of the Rebels is set to take place at Smiley Ratliff Field in Hurley on Friday.  The matchup features a pair of unbeatens as Mark Palmer’s Patrick Henry Rebels will make the 66-mile trip to the Cliff to do battle with Austin Cooper’s Hurley Rebels.
