What promised to be yet another showdown between bitter arch rivals, turned into a no doubter before a half of play had concluded. The Ridgeview Wolfpack had no problem with the Warriors from Wise County Central, trouncing them by a final tally of 54-0.
The win for the Wolfpack, along with the Union Bears triumph over Letcher County Central, sets up a battle for the ages atop Rose Ridge next Friday night. …

Coming into Friday night’s clash with the Shelby Valley Wildcats, all the talk was centered around if the Wolfpack could slow down the Wildcats rushing attack. The Pack slowed down that attack and then some, in a dominant performance over their eastern Kentucky counterparts. Ridgeview came away with a 49-0 victory in a contest which did not conclude till 10:49 p.m. on Friday night due to three separate lightning delays.

Alijah Sproles of Ridgeview had a game to remember against the Grundy Golden Wave in week one. The junior linebacker had six tackles, five for a loss, and one sack in Ridgeview’s opening week win.
The outstanding performance did not go without notice as Sproles was voted the inaugural CoalfieldSports.com Defensive Player of the Week.
