Fort Chiswell to host Tazewell on homecoming

Both the Tazewell Bulldogs and Fort Chiswell Pioneers look to bounce back after losses last Friday night. The Pioneers (3-3), lead by senior Brody Crockett and junior Denver Brown, dropped last week’s game against Galax to a final tune of 38-13. The Bulldogs (2-4) are trying to get back in the win column after losing to county rival Richlands, 34-0. Richlands runs through Tazewell in Backyard Brawl

It was a “Sweet Sixteen” party for the Richlands Blue Tornado as they cruised past county rival Tazewell for the 16th straight time Friday night in the annual Backyard Brawl. Richlands (3-3) used a pounding run game on their way to a third consecutive shutout against Tazewell (2-4) on a Friday night Pink Out game. Bulldogs look to climb The Cliff in first trip to Hurley

The Hurley Rebels will host the Tazewell Bulldogs for the first time ever this Friday night. Hurley is coming off a 26-6 road victory against Montcalm (WV) and are now 3-2 with victories over Rye Cove and River View (WV) as well. Tazewell lost to defending West Virginia AA state champion Bluefield this past Friday night. They are 1-3 and their lone win was a 61-38 win against River View.
