Grundy travels to Hurley in search of BDD Title

The first domino on the goal sheet for the Grundy Golden Wave could fall at the Cliff on Friday when it travels to Hurley to take on the Rebels. With a win over their archrival, Grundy will claim the Black Diamond District Championship. With the recent string of success that the Wave has rattled off as of late, the odds are in Craig Plymal and Grundy’s favor. Bulldogs look to climb The Cliff in first trip to Hurley

The Hurley Rebels will host the Tazewell Bulldogs for the first time ever this Friday night. Hurley is coming off a 26-6 road victory against Montcalm (WV) and are now 3-2 with victories over Rye Cove and River View (WV) as well. Tazewell lost to defending West Virginia AA state champion Bluefield this past Friday night. They are 1-3 and their lone win was a 61-38 win against River View. Rebels, Generals set for war in West Virginia

Hurley hosts RiverView in first home contest of 2018

  vs. After a heartbreaking loss in Shawsville in week two to Eastern Montgomery, the Hurley Rebels traveled across state lines in search of redemption. However, the Rebels retreated back from the bluegrass state of Kentucky with a similar result.   Hurley dropped to 1-2 on the season after a 45-6 thumping at the hands of Pike County Central last Friday. Hurley looks to bounce back against Pike Central

A bus trip from Hurley to Shawsville is no Sunday drive. It is even worse when you blow a 12-point lead. That was the case for the Hurley Rebels this past Friday as they took on the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs. Dylan Owens found Justin Tyree on a seven-yard strike with 38.4 seconds left in the contest to give Eastern Montgomery their first lead of the game. That is all it took, as the Mustangs took home a 14-12 victory.… Read the rest
