Region D, 1A Semi Final Grundy Golden Wave (7-4, 3-0) 4-seed at Chilhowie Warriors (11-0, 5-0) 1-seed   The Warrior train is rolling, but the visiting Wave from Grundy hope to derail that train. Friday’s semi final showdown has Grundy making the trek to Warrior Stadium in hopes of pulling off the shocking upset and ended the Warrior’s holes of a state title. Raiders, Wave set for huge 1D matchup

A week after Grundy and J.I. Burton each squeaked out victories in week seven, the slate does not clear up for either team. The two will meet up in Norton on Friday in the latest edition of the CoalfieldSports.com Game of the Week. The contest has high implications on how the 1D playoff standings will shake out at season’s end. There is also much familiarity between these two squads. Grundy travels to Hurley in search of BDD Title

The first domino on the goal sheet for the Grundy Golden Wave could fall at the Cliff on Friday when it travels to Hurley to take on the Rebels. With a win over their archrival, Grundy will claim the Black Diamond District Championship.
